Domestic Violence: It’s Everyone’s Business
Practical Steps Employers Can Take to Protect Your Business and Your Employees
The presenters from Employers Against Domestic Violence will discuss ways to create more productive workplaces that are intolerant of domestic violence and are safe and supportive for victims. This informative session will provide an overview of what domestic violence is and why it IS a workplace issue. Presenters will discuss the prevalence of domestic violence in the United States, signs that an employee may be in an abusive relationship, guidelines for co-workers, some “dos” and “don’ts” should an employee disclose, available resources, and applicable laws that employers need to understand.
