TOPIC: "On the Cutting Edge: Top Workplace Investigations Trends, Including AI Issues"
Through an interactive and engaging session, you will hear from an industry leader about recent trends in workplace investigations. As workplace laws change for employers, and sentiments and expectations evolve for employees, workplace investigators are seeing new issues and guidelines emerge. This session will help you identify and prepare for top challenges and opportunities associated with these trends. Sue Ann Van Dermyden, JD, AWI-CH, is a Senior Partner of Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, an investigations law firm. As an employment attorney since 1993, Sue Ann leads a team of 30+ attorneys who conduct workplace and campus investigations. Sue Ann is a thought leader in the field, as a founding member and past President of the Association of Workplace Investigators, and as an adjunct professor teaching law students about workplace investigations. Sue Ann also provides expert witness testimony on the sufficiency of investigations. She is a national speaker who regularly provides training and presentations on workplace and campus investigations.
