TOPIC: "I’m OK! You’re OK! We’re Just Different. Harnessing Personality Diversity: Building Stronger, More Effective Organizations Through Understanding and Integration"
The modern workplace is a blend of diverse personalities, each contributing unique perspectives, communication styles, and decision-making approaches. These differences become especially evident in meetings, events, and one-on-one conversations. For instance:
- Some individuals focus on the big picture, while others are more detail-oriented in how they present and process information.
- People may make decisions based on objective data or prioritize empathy and personal values.
- Organizational preferences vary between methodical structures and flexible, adaptable methods.
- Team members may be expressive and outgoing or more reserved and reflective.
Managing or working alongside such diverse personalities can be challenging but also rewarding. Each team member brings unique strengths and challenges that, when understood, can lead to more harmonious and productive teams. By embracing and utilizing these differences, organizations can unlock new levels of creativity, collaboration, and effectiveness.
In this workshop, we will use the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) to explore personality types and how they "show up" in the workplace. Participants will learn how to navigate and leverage these differences to build stronger, more cohesive teams.

Our Speaker: Kevin Keleher
With over 30 years of experience in the HR discipline, Kevin Keleher is the Principal Consultant at NextWave HR Solutions, where he specializes in providing comprehensive HR consulting services to a diverse array of organizations. His expertise spans compensation structure design, training development and facilitation, program design, leadership summit facilitation, management coaching, and team building.
Throughout his career, Kevin has held several key positions, including Vice President of HR Operations and Information Management at Putnam Investments, Business Architect for Fidelity’s HR system, Director of HR at Boston Medical Center, Head of HR Operations for North and South America, Head of HR for Microsemi’s Discrete Products Division, and Director of HR at Mercury Systems.
Kevin holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.Ed. with a focus on Organizational and Employee Development, along with additional coursework toward an MBA and Certified Compensation Professional credentials. He is accredited as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP. Additionally, Kevin is a certified Myers-Briggs facilitator, which further enhances his ability to guide organizations in maximizing their human capital.
