TOPIC: "Legal and Ethical Considerations in HR Management"

Boston employment law attorneys Kathleen R. O’Toole and Michael J. Rossi will discussbalancing workplace ethics and legal duties in the world of human resources.  They will cover topics including equal employment opportunity and DEI initiatives in the wake of recent court decisions, privacy and confidentiality, whistleblowing, and other ethical issues and dilemmas facing HR professionals.

Our Speakers:  KATHLEEN R. O’TOOLE 

KATHLEEN R. O’TOOLE is a partner in the Boston firm of Conn Kavanaugh, where she focuses her practice on employment matters as both a litigator and a trusted advisor. On the litigation side, Kate represents employers facing various employment issues, such as discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, and contract claims. She also counsels employers on resolving challenging workplace issues and collaborates with them on practices, policies, and risk management strategies designed to prevent litigation.  In addition, Kate represents professionals in the negotiation of employment-related agreements, and counsels individuals on their employment-related rights and obligations.  She is a graduate of Wellesley College and Suffolk University Law School.

MICHAEL J. ROSSI

MICHAEL J. ROSSI is a partner in the Boston firm of Conn Kavanaugh, where he focuses his practice on professional liability, business litigation, and employment law. He has considerable experience litigating employment discrimination and retaliation claims, unfair competition disputes, and wage/hour matters.  An experienced courtroom advocate, Mike has successfully tried cases before judges, juries, and administrative agencies, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.  Mike is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and Suffolk University Law School.
