The National Labor Relations Act Applies to You – What Every Employer Needs to Know About the NLRB’s Expanding Protections for Employees (40 Minutes)
This presentation will focus on the major recent changes in the law at the National Labor Relations Board. As the NLRB expands its influence and reach, all employers (union and non-union) must understand what this means for their workplace. Topics will include limitations on the use of confidentiality, non-disparagement, and non-compete provisions, increased scrutiny of employer handbooks and work rules, and developments in protections around employee speech and conduct.
Continuing to Navigate Paid Family and Medical Leave in Massachusetts (40 Minutes)
This presentation will follow up last year’s analysis of the Massachusetts Paid Family Medical Leave Act (PFML) and the myriad of challenges employers are continuing to face. This presentation will present real-life case studies to help provide practical guidance for the Employers in navigating leave issues.
AI and Technology in the Workplace (40 Minutes)
Increasingly, Employers are facing questions concerning AI and related technology. This presentation will outline the existing regulatory framework as it relates to hiring and monitoring, and will further explore development of employer policies addressing the use of AI in the workplace.
