Topic: Leadership sustainability – How to Build Resilience and Prevent Burnout in a 24/7 World
The current state of the workplace for most organizations is a 24/7, technology-driven environment filled with increased complexity, ambiguity, and both internal and external performance pressures. The demands on HR professional and leaders is unprecedented. This environment as our new normal is taking a toll on the corporate and human psyche. Being a strong and emotionally intelligent leader is no longer enough. There is an emerging need for us to supercharge our leadership and build deeper resiliency. This interactive session will provide tools and techniques on how to leverage recent neuroscience data to create meaning and purpose, manage stress more effectively, and engage and motivate teams to deliver on the company’s mission.
Facilitator: Robin Martin is a global Executive Coach, Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness specialist with over 25 years of experience helping companies drive results through increased leadership performance. Her work and company, Thrive Coaching & Consulting Group, focuses on organizational and individual growth to help maximize effectiveness. She works with executives of Fortune 500 companies as an executive coach, thought partner, and transformation consultant to unleash potential and ensure sustained impact. Through her executive coaching work, she partners intently with her coaching clients to leverage neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and behavioral change strategies to help clients grow and navigate paths forward. Her coaching clients know Robin for her ability to quickly connect, deeply understand their individual needs, and provide creative solutions to optimize success. During organizational and cultural change engagements, Robin and her team partner with companies to co-create a desired future state, create a blueprint for change, and ignite leaders and teams to bring the future to life.
Robin brings the best of both worlds to her client engagements. She has experience working inside organizations like Fidelity Investments and Hanover Insurance and consulting externally with global consulting firms like The Forum Corporation and The Service Profit Chain Institute. She works closely with Harvard Business School as a coach and facilitator with the Interpersonal Development Skills Laboratory (ISDL) and other leadership programs as part of Harvard’s Executive Education. She is co-founder of The Leadership Impact Project and has built a number of innovative leadership programs for senior leaders and is a frequent speaker on topics including: The Sustainable Leader, Leading Global Change, Unleashing your Personal Brand, and Maximizing Leadership EQ. Robin is also a co-facilitator of the Viongozi Youth Leadership Summit in Kenya, an immersive program aimed at increasing both leadership skills and global intelligence in tomorrow’s leaders.
Robin holds Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University. She is certified in a number of assessment tools including: Hogan Assessment Suite, MBTI, DISC Profile, and The Center for Creative Leadership Benchmarks Tool, and is certified in The Neuroscience of Change. In addition to her involvement as a coach with HBS Executive and MBA programs, she is an executive coach with Performance Talent Partners, and a Vision Coach for the World Pulse Organization.
