Are you finding yourself working longer hours but feeling less productive?

Has your ability to pay attention been eroded due to constant distractions?

Join us to learn how a mindful approach to work and to life can lead to higher performance and a healthier lifestyle.

TOPIC:  Physical Ergonomics in the Workplace -The Science Behind Creating Health-Positive Spaces

The way we work is rapidly changing, yet the spaces in which we work are far behind. The consequences of this disconnect are devastating to both individuals and organizations: pain, injuries, worker’s compensation costs, increasing healthcare premiums, lost productivity, low morale, high turnover and more.

Join us for a deep dive into physical ergonomics to attain a basic understanding of anatomy, and the implications poor posture has on our bodies. Discuss the most common areas of pain and how to mitigate the causes. Practice applying this knowledge to real workplace examples, and learn all you need to know about sitting and mortality.

When you feel better, you work better. A deeper understanding of ergonomics helps us create human-centered spaces that reinvigorate the workplace.

Our Speaker:  Diana Glattly, AEP

Diana Glattly works with organizations to share knowledge on ergonomics and help them achieve human-centered design solutions. She received a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors and Ergonomics from Cornell University through Dr. Alan Hedge’s Design and Environmental Analysis program. Diana believes that ergonomics is a creative problem-solving process that can be applied to anything, physical or conceptual, in the human context. She is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society and a certified Associate Ergonomics Professional.

TOPIC:  Shoulders aching?  Knee pain nagging you?

Our shoulders and knees are amazing, dynamic structures!  When our joints are working properly we are able to easily participate in our favorite activities and complete our daily chores.   Unfortunately, complaints of knee and shoulder pain are among the most common reasons people seek medical care.   Improving posture, strength and flexibility are the top three ways to proactively protect these joints.  Join us to learn what actions you can take to help protect your shoulders and knees for a lifetime
