TOPIC: EEO And AAP - How Does It Impact Me And My Company?
Who is the EEOC? The OFCCP? What is the difference between EEO and Affirmative Action? What is the definition of a government subcontractor? Do you know if your company is a government contractor or subcontractor? What are the EEO and Affirmative Action-related requirements of a government contractor or subcontractor?
Our session will be provide this information and discuss the key components of developing an affirmative action plan and what happens during a compliance review (audit) from the viewpoints of both a lawyer specializing in Affirmative Action and an HR Practitioner.
Our Speakers: Cara Crotty & Kevin Keleher
Cara Crotty is a partner who has defended employers in cases involving every aspect of the employment relationship, including claims such as sexual, racial, age, and disability harassment; discrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, disability, and national origin; retaliation; and various other federal and state law claims. Cara Crotty also represents federal contractors covered by Executive Order 11246 in their affirmative action compliance obligations by assisting with Plan preparation and defending audits. Cara speaks regularly for various organizations. Before joining Constangy, Cara worked as an Attorney-Advisor, Office of Administrative Law Judges, United States Department of Labor.
Kevin Keleher, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 20 years in HR operations and leadership roles, including global operations, with several high performing organizations-. Kevin currently manages HR Operations for the Americas at a global corporation. He has been managed EEO, Affirmative Action and Diversity for almost 20 years.
